The Kentucky Historical Society has created an new phone app which utilizes its some 2000 highway roadside markers scattered throughout the state. The app allows a person to take their smart phone, visit the marker located by a digital map and then read or listen to the "story" behind the marker, enhanced by photos and videos. The markers are arranged in "tours," and Friends of Boone Trace, Inc. did a tour using the markers related to Boone Trace. The app can be downloaded onto your computer and/or your smart phone for free.
